The EMGS students visited Tulln, Austria, from December 6th to 9th for five days of intense work and social activities. During the first two days, the main discussions were organized around Key Concepts in Global Studies research. These discussions were organized in 5 Workshops:

1) Capitalism, Commodity Frontiers and the Transformation of the Global Countryside

2) International Regimes of contested territorialities: Military Occupations, Conquests, and the International Order

3) Who is a Refugee? A Key Concept in Global Studies

4)  Animals as History-Shaping Actors

5) Regionalism in the Eurasian Area: Analyzing Intergovernmental Structures

Finally, students enjoyed an interesting excursion to the World Museum in Vienna.
