On October 8, the new cohort of students from the European Master in Global Studies (EMGS) visited the Grassi Museum in Leipzig. The excursion offered an excellent opportunity to explore the city’s rich cultural and historical background while fostering connections among the students. During the visit, students engaged with global issues related to memory culture and critically examined how museums are structured, discussing the challenges they face today in representing diverse histories and promoting inclusive narratives. This visit marked an inspiring beginning to their studies and highlighted the importance of cultural engagement as part of the EMGS experience.
