The graduation season is upon us, and many EMGS students are departing on their career paths. We will surely miss the university walls and all friends they brought us, but the adventure of Erasmus Mundus does not need to end.
Are looking to stay involved in the Erasmus Mundus community beyond your years as a student or are you interested in helping Erasmus Mundus students and alumni while still being a student?
Join Erasmus Mundus Association! EMA is a non-profit organization funded in 2006 – from Erasmus Mundus students and alumni to Erasmus Mundus students and alumni.
From getting involved in reoccurring projects to leading them, volunteering as a Country or Program Representative to joining the Management Board, opportunities are wide and varied.
Thanks to EMA this August I had a chance to participate in SHARE ASEAN-EU Exchange Students and Alumni Summit on Youth and Digital Connectivity in Jakarta, Indonesia where our goal was to help ASEAN students establish alumni and student network similar to EMA, ESN, and Oceans Network and Garage Erasmus in Europe – associations which unite current and former exchange students in Europe and beyond, allowing them to stay connected, network and have their voice heard on issues that concern them.
It was truly a pleasure to meet bright students and alumni from all over the world, and also to connect with experts on higher education and ASEAN officials, including a surprise encounter with EMGS Alumna c/o 2009 – Jenny Lind Elmaco, currently Regional Project Director in EURAXESS.
Meeting in a conference room again after over two long years of remote meetings due to COVID-19 Pandemic felt refreshing and inspiring. If you want to learn more about the opportunities EMA can give you have a look at this website or connect via Instagram and Facebook. See you at future events!
