Terms & Holidays

At all of the five European participating universities, the academic year is divided into different terms. The academic year always starts in fall/winter, and it is only possible to begin the EMGS programme at that time. The dates of the terms and holidays vary a bit from university to university and also slightly from year to year. You find in the following concrete information for each study place.

Please take however into consideration that at the beginning of each winter term introductory courses may take place (approximately 1-2 weeks before the official start of the term). Furthermore, at the end of the first year all students have to attend the summer school that takes place at the beginning/mid of July.
