Committees

To ensure the quality of the programme and address all the concerns of students and staff appropriately, the EMGS Consortium has established a number of special committees. If you have any questions, please first address the coordinator of the EMGS Consortium or the local coordinators, who will then forward your question to the appropriate person if they cannot directly answer it.

Taking into account best academic practices in Europe, the committee supervises the issuing of the degrees as well as the Joint Diploma Supplement and Joint Transcript of Records. To this end, it endeavours to continuously develop all procedures related to degree issuing and examination organization. The Examination Committee is consulted in case of an appeal procedure related to grade conversion or the recognition of results. The committee also decides in case of student complaints against the result of exams; however, it hands the complaint over to the local responsible bodies in case the rules of the individual university are concerned. The committee also regularly reviews grade conversion scales and adapts them if necessary. In this process, tools like ECTS grades and the European Grade Conversion System (Egracons) are used.

The board brings together representatives working in those fields that are particularly relevant for the future employment of EMGS students with representatives of member universities and students in general. It annually discusses, in coordination with the EMGS Alumni Association, issues of employability and evaluates internship reports of the students. It aims to improve the infrastructure for student internships during the programme and to facilitate the creation of professional networks. Through discussions, the members of the board identify those skills and competences that potential future employers inside and outside academy are interested in, exchanging views of how to better integrate them into the training provided to EMGS students.
